Interesting to note that many of the Oscar winning movies highlighted at the Academy Awards this week are based on books available at your local library. Someone loved those books so much that they were inspired to make a movie. Check these out!
The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis
Coraline by Neil Gaiman
Crazy-Heart: a Novel by Thomas Cobb
Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl
Invictus : Nelson Mandela and the game that made a nation by John Carlin
The lovely bones : a novel by Alice Sebold
Precious: Based on the novel Push by Sapphire
A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood
Up in the Air by Walter Kirn.
Which book will be the next to inspire an Oscar winning movie?

Maybe Diary of a Wimpy Kid! :)
"Leaper: the misadventures of a not-necessarily-super hero." Wood, geoffrey, 1969.
I hope the next one they'll make a movie out of is "Daemon" by Daniel Suarez. Just about the best tech thriller ever written.
