I have been taking the German classes for fun on my own time. Yesterday, I showed my 15 year old sister how to use Mango languages to study Spanish for her mission trip to Mexico this week. We had so much fun. She loved it and even picked up some greetings and gratitudes. She plans to take some Italian when she gets back. Mango is great, very helpful, and lots of fun.

Learn phrases from a language.

Not anything else.

Now you are ready to travel, or practice those phrases with a native speaker! One option is Livemocha, the world's largest language learning community: http://www.livemocha.com/

We have a new volunteer at our library. She is from Russia, so I took the basic Russian Mango language course, and now I can say "hello," "goodbye," and "thank you" to her in her own native tongue.
